Question about sun roof

I just got a repair kit with the front and rear seals and the felts for the sides. My question is do the front and rear seals need to be glued into place with some trim adhesive or do they snap in with the rubber alone.

Also, do you have to use the MB sunroof paste or will molly lube grease work as well. Have the sunroof taken apart, no problem. Are there any tricks I need to know on reassembling it. Have done a search on this forum and have a pretty good idea of what I need to do. Just trying to cover my basis.

Use the MB sunroof grease, other greases may attract dirt which leads to more wear on the sunroof pads in the future.

You shouldn't need any adhesive- the factory didn't!

Front and rear strips are retained by the body.

Side strips "fuzzys" are retained mechanically by a metal strip. Note, they will need to be cut to length.

You did get all 4 pieces for the W123 correct??

You may also need the rubber pads on the slides(4 total)... just depends. On mine, one of the teflon pieces was broken too.
