broken hood release and electrical problem
 

Well it just snapped when I pulled it out. I'm talking about the one under the hood that goes through the grill. I can get the hood open with a screwdriver, but how can I fix this permanently?

I also have a weird electrical problem. The radio just shuts off sometimes. Can be for minutes or days. When it goes the passenger electric mirror goes also. I can hear through my speakers when I use the electric mirror when it's working. I can also here the kickdown switch through the speakers.

Any thoughts?

I have seen people fix these with zip ties, but I think the part to fix this is around $10.

New "pull" for hood release just snaps on...
 

A short would be my guess for the electrics, since the problem comes and goes.

Good luck...neither problem should be serious or expensive to fix.
