fuel around the injector

I have a 76 240 and lately around the base of the 2nd injector from the front there is a great deal of fuel pooling at the base.
Do I need a new injector or is it just a seal that needs to be replaced? If its the injector should I replace all 4?
Thanks, Kchemers

Only three places an injector can leak on the exterior. The bypass hose as mentioned above, easy to check. The flare nut that tightens the steel line to the injector, again easy to check for tightness. Possible there is a nick in the face of the injector/steel line mating surface but not likely unless the injector was R&R"d for some reason and someone buggered it up. Thirdly the union between the top and bottom sections of the injector itself. The injector could be removed and this union loosened/tightened again while on the bench but if its leaking here I would have a shop look at it. As long as they don't change the shims or mess with the pop pressure of the injector I wouldn't think the others would have to be touched. RT

same condition on my '75 and it turned out to be either a bad bypass line or the nipple that the bypass line connects to was leaking. Can't tell which since upon replacing the bypass line it stopped but there was no evidence that thsi hose had a problem.
Go the cheap route and replace the fuel line...

Thanks for all the help, replaced the bypass lines for $15 and about 15 minutes of work. I don't see any more pooling at the base of the injector.
Thanks again, Kchemers
