Question bio-diesel

How does bio-diesel (both 20% and 100%) affect the Mercedes-Benz diesel engines? I've heard that they result in pre-mature wear of rubber components and other negative impacts. Has anyone had actual experience with long-term and/or consistent use of bio-diesel in a recent vintage (post-1990) Mercedes-Benz diesel engine, either in a passenger car or commercial vehicle, who can verify one way or another? Appreciate the insights...

Welcome to the site... We have a bunch of people on this forum with all sorts of experience and information... much of which they have already posted .... Which brings up the subject of the search button at the top of this page... if you enter bio-diesel you will find lots of threads with great info.....
