New to me 1985 300SD
Here's the 1985 300SD I picked up last month. I am the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner purchased it from Mercedes Benz of Greenwich, CT with 49K miles. I picked it up with 117K miles a mile and a half from my home. It was an easy transaction. So far, I've only changed the oil and will rebuilt the seat spring and pad from a passenger W126 seat. It has a CD changer and all 'n all in pretty good shape.

After spending 2 hours messing with the scanner controls to get a small file image:

Congrats on the find! You will love that car. Even with my selection of cars I have to pick from every day, my '83 300SD still sees the most action! We're going to take it to California in May on a little cross country jaunt. Can't wait!

Thanks, Aaron. Do you have euro-lights on yours? Any recommendations from the numerous offerings?

You will love the 85 300SD. Mine is a daily driver and everything works. Great road car for trips. Make sure you check the valve lash.

Edge,
Nope, no European lights. I like the US ones just fine. I did replace both of them with good Osram/Sylvania units though. The only car I have with Euro lights is the 6.9 and on that car they are a must for two reasons: 1. Original round lamps look hideous! 2. Driving fast at night demands powerful lighting!
