Can some with a W123 TD look up something?

I posted this a couple of days ago and didn't quite get the response I was looking for:

"Someone on the forum graciously gave me a 123 TD tail light. I'm looking to match it but I don't remember if I have a left or right. Seems like it could fit either side.

The part number of the lens I have is 123 820 20 64. Is this a left or right lens and what's the part number of it's mate? It's embossed on the outside of the lens as well as on the gray plastic housing."

I'll try a different approach

Can someone with a W123 wagon please read off the part number from both tail light lenses?

Thanks,
Sixto

Since you are just making a table lamp out of it what difference does it make ?
I can see from your sig that you do not have a wagon to put it on...

Wiseguy :p

I'm looking for a pair for a friend overseas.

Getting a set of Euro headlights in exchange for the tail lights and some other parts.

While my wife is out in our TD, I can say that there is no way to mix up a right and left side on our TD.

The amber is on top and the slanted plastic edge goes towards the side of the car (wider at the bottom, narrow at the top) while the straight plastic edge goes towards the back.

I can see a third thread coming

I know they're not interchangeable but since I'm not familiar with the car, I can't tell by looking which one I have. MB wasn't kind enough to mark it left/right, links/recht or even L/R as far as I can see.

I was also too stupid to save the emails about the deal or remember who gave it to me.

Don, both edges look slanted to me. One more so so I'll guess the side edge gets the more severe slant.

I notice that one lower corner is pointed and the other is rounded.

Thanks,
Sixto

The PartsShop tip was great. I notice in the FastLane photo that there are distinct reflectors facing the rear.

So this endlessly repeated posting with crys for help and BIGRED's huge bandwith sucking Signature and my pictures and smart comments could have been avoided by emailing the person that sent you the taillight lens ? I just had to throw in the flowers....

Joel, if you want to get that specific, it's really located on the starboard quarter...
