Arrow Been listening to my engine..

Well...after a run anywhere I eventually come to a stop. For about 1-2 seconds the engine stays at high idle, and then comes down to a nice smooth even diesely idle. It never stays high or low...always seems to come from a high idle down to a nice even idle. Never noticed this with my radio on? Is this a problem or the engine just coming down after a load has been placed on it?

It doesn't seem like a problem.

Keep your radio on very loud. Listening to your engine can be bad, because then you will start worrying about little things that are nothing. The only time I listen to my engine when I am starting it, so I will know once it is started so I can stop cranking .

Seriously, listening to noises can be bad. My brother worries about every noise on his car. He asks me if I hear something, then I say no. Then he asks me again, and I tell him no. Most of the time there tends to be nothing wrong.

Kyle, the factory manual recommends transmission fluid on the ball joint linkages. I use Mobil 1 synthetic trans fluid on mine all the time. I even pop the linkage off the ball and clean out the old crud from time to time with a Q-Tip or two. Lube yours quickly before you have a stuck throttle at 3500 RPM. Make sure you get them all.
