Lightbulb It wasn't the fuel filter, it wasn't algae, it wasn't a pinhole....It was...

Drumroll please!

A crack in the rubber part of the throttle linkage.

Not sure what it's called, but it looks like a pivoting point, and it's located right in front of the firewall. THe pic doesn't show just HOW cracked it is, it's nearly 3/4 of the way through. Press on the gas pedal and it just splits apart. No wonder we're going nowhere fast (actually nowhere slow:p )

So, the plan is to try to remove it from the parts car, although it will make that car harder to diagnose when we go to work on it. Oh well.

Any tips on this repair?
