300SD driver's door snag...
When I open my drivers door, it stops at the first hitch which is kind of halfway, and then I have to push hard to open the door all the way to get in coomfortably. Where do I grease to get this thingy working smoothly? Do I have to take of the door? This is more important for my wife, any ideas? Thanks.

tough to grease in place.
You can try spraying aerosol white lithium grease in the opening in the door where the check strap passes through. I did this and it worked for a while.
Much better is to take the inside panel off, and remove the entire door check and lube it with quality grease. That is sort of a lot of work, but it will fix your issue for longer. I think I saw a special grease gun adapter for squirting grease into door checks on MB cars on the samstag sales website. Probably not worth it for an individual. You may even be able to get your local mb shop (if they have such a grease gun) to do it for you (it will take 10 seconds) if for whatever reason you are on speaking terms with your MB or independent service department. alec
