lower quarter panel for a 1982 300d
 

well it finally happened, i was told that my car is uninspectable
due to rust. i am having a hard time trying to locate a left lower quarter panel for my car. can anybody steer me in the right direction ?

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I was wondering...
I have a friend from Erie and he told me that in PA if you have a hole that has rusted thru (even if it's only a dime size) your car is not deemed road worthy by the DMV. Is this true?

If you can't get the rear quarter panel, what will you do? Sell it?

yes its true. they are really cracking down on rusted cars up here
inspections are done by gas stations and repair shops.
two shops in our area had their inspection licenses pulled, and my inspection guy wont even inspect my car because of this.
as far as what am i going to do with my car ?
fix it of course ! i got 300,000 miles out of it and i would like to get another 200,000.
i found the left lower quarter panel from a company in indinana
called adsit it ran me a 134.00, more then i wanted to spend, but oh well.
