Rare is right, there were only 2,386 of them made for 1987. Even more rare is the 4-matic version, there were only 297 made. Who knows how many of those 2,386 cars made it to the U.S. I went on E-bay and saw that these are going for around 3K, surprisingly.

The 4Matic versions were never imported to the USA. You could get a later 124.193 in Europe, but not USA. D'oh! Look at the final sale price on eBay, not the current bid, and make sure the reserve is met. They can usually fetch $5-$10k if in GOOD condition. There was one or two with major problems that were going cheap...
