Reduce emissions & blowby, improve fuel economy & HP, remove warts, lower cholesterol

http://www.enviro-save.com/index.htm

Okay, I may have exaggerated slightly on the warts and cholesterol, but this product(s) is supposed to be very good. It was recommended to us by a gentleman we bought some parts from. He is a mechanic by trade, and has many older Mercedes (and no, he isn't selling it). I can't give it any personal accolades yet, but I think we are going to try it (once they give me a price!).

Just thought I'd see what you guys thought!

A very attractive headline. But how does one prove that
wear is not reduced "Guaranteed to Reduce Wear" and
get a refund?

"The reason most products on the market
will not use oil analyses is because they tell the truth. Truck, bus and heavy equipment owners
rely on oil analyses to protect their investments. When comparing products, always ask for
before and after treatment oil analyses test results."

That is a quote from their website, but what 'exactly' they are measuring in the oil, I'm not sure. I think that is how they provide their 'guarantee to reduce wear' though.

I will ask them that, along with the price list.

Lower cholesterol: Park your car and walk:p (this also improves fuel economy, reduces emissions and blowby!)

Warts: Stop kissing toads

This has "snake oil" written all over it. Use quality synthetic oils (Mobil, RedLine, Amsoil) and forget this junk... just my $0.02...

I called them up, and asked how they measured 'wear'. They analyze the oil (using chromatography, I think) before treatment and after, and look for various types of metal. Transit buses routinely get the analysis done (I assume there is an extra fee for that, but didn't ask), and he said they (the buses) have seen 40% less wear since using the product.

The mechanic that recommended it to us has been using it on a number of older cars for the last few years. He says they run quieter, and have less blowby. Whether or not it improved longevity, it's too early to tell.

Still pondering....
