My 240 d is back at 50 miles a day duty !

Well I am glad to have the diesel back again , It all started last summer after I lost my 89 F-350 in a fire , Beautiful truck , then in december my wifes 88 Isuzu limited edition troopers ( head cracked ) so out came the Vw vanagon I had fixed up a couple of years ago , My wife drove the 240 for a couple of months while I drove the van . no power steering in the van etc. So last week I found another Isuzu trooper for her an 89 . lots of work .That puts me back driving the diesel again. You dont realize how you miss these things when they are gone. I guess I am not alone , Time to put the new rear bumper strip on and get new window switches. Oil change soon and wash and wax!

Its interesting how similar diesel people can be. I was referred to this board by a friend from the Ford Diesel board. (The DieselStop.com--used to be called Ford-Diesel.com until Ford Motor Co complained).
Now you have a ford Pick up and a 240D.
My Ford is a F250 with 6.9 IDI engine and 325,000 miles. Right now it is in many pieces as I am rebuilding the engine. I hope to get it installed in the next 2 weeks. After that I will strip and repaint it prior to the summer camping season. I use the F250 to tow my 5th wheel.
I wonder how many MB diesel owners have diesel pick ups.

FWIW, I also have a Ford F-250 Powerstoke diesel. As soon as I can get rid of our Ford Explorer I plan on getting another diesel vehicle, possibly a 300TD wagon. That'll make us an all-diesel family. I'll never have to stop at a gas pump again.

Whelp, I have a few MB diesels and a Dodge truck with the Cummins turbodiesel in it. They'll have to pry my cold dead hands from the steering wheel of that truck.
