I have been told that the hard elbow and small black hose that descends from the valve cover on my "82 240D is the "breather hose". Then it connects to something that looks like a large hockey puck-sort of a thick black disc.There is another hose that runs away from the "puck" under or into the air filter. What is the "puck" called? What is the second hose called? Are these available from dealers only? Thanks for all replies!

i might be wrong but that might be the oil seperator? the puck i mean
