Help on Euro 300D Glow System
I just picked up a couple of 300D euro's to add to the stable. One is a possible parts car but it looks solid enough.
I'm trying to trace whether or not the glow system is working and noticed that it doesn't have the typical relay box on the inside fender. What should I be looking for in place of that? I'll post some pics of the new additions soon. Don

glow plugs
diesel don,
If your glow plugs have wires connecting from one glow plug to the next glow plug, you've one of the older models and there isn't a glow plug relay as such in the underhood area. These units have a small relay up under the dash and the plugs take about 20 seconds to completely warm up. You can retrofit a newer relay but it's not easy. There is a glow plug fusible link mounted on the firewall under the hood just where the wire jumps from the firewall to the rear glow plug. Ben

Ben:
Thanks a bunch. I'll check out that rear glow plug area. Yes, I have the older style. Much appreciated. Don
