Vacuum/Boost tubing Replacement

After having broken my first plastic tubing and finding it was too brittle to be re-used appropriately, I've decided that I might want to just replace all the tubing.

How many different sizes are there between the various boost and vacuum lines?

Are there any kits? How much is the OE color coded stuff from MBZ?

Alternatives?

Suggestions?

Well I don't have much of an answer yet as I'm with you on watching these break from time to time. I just started buying some so when I have them break I'll just replace them one at a time. I think my MB stealer just messed up and ordered some plastic pipe for the trunk @ $1.90/ft. I wanted the silicone fittings that join the two plastic pieces (part number anyone? :)). To my knowledge there are only two sizes used. I do not know of any kits.

Suggestions, why worry about it, just replace as you go. If you have a problem. replace it, if not why bother? That means if you replace the plastic you'll probably end up replacing all the rubber too. Don't wake a sleeping dog. :)

Yes I would like to thank my dealership for doing their part in keeping our cars affordable to buy. They overprice everything so much that nobody would want to buy anything from them. LOL

Even the power locks? Lately that has been giving me problems, also when I bought the car the fuel door lock was bypassed. After I get the locks working right again I'll have to work on the fuel door.... I've replaced almost all under hood rubber vacuum fittings.

Actually, I was just thinking about doing the engine compartment for now.

Yea, underhood tubing wouldn't be very bad but the whole car!!! Probably 1/4 of the tubing in the car is under the hood, the power locks though. WOW! Then the vacuum tubes in the dash and such....
