I know that subject line would get everyone stirred up - heck it's Friday afternoon! Did want to share an interesting comment on left by the owner of this 87 300SDL (Presidents Car)

It does not smoke at all because it has used Mobil One oil and the motor purrs.

Let us keep this going. What are the numbers for New Jersey. 15-50, 0-40 etc; 1983 300SD - 268,000 miles. Only used Dino oil 15-40. It is Friday and by my question I have a little too much time on my hands.

This cat was maybe the president of the "can't afford no covered parking" club. Or maybe the president of the "let's drive around Florida highways with the windows down in the rain" association. Even possibly the "let's get this bucket to Connecticut where they love these yachts and try to play down the crapped out condition of the front half of the cabin" consortium...

Clear coat worn? Looks more like paint worn off. From the looks of that center console is could be that El Presidente spilled a lot of coffee.
Good thing the engine purrs. Rest of the car looks a little shabby.

Rickg, TEX76513 read that wrong.. they used MobileOne on the WOOD.... that is why it looks like that....

Bah.. Shell Rotella T has been great to my car.. been using it religiously since I've owned it, and the car was changed with 15w40 dino oil since new..

It looks as though the back seats were not used much.
I don't know what revelance the write is trying to pursue.

The exterior is in good condition and shines nicely .........................There is some worn clearcoat

The transmission runs fine ..............but there is a problem with the kickdown switch

The interior is in good shape, ....................Burlwood on the window switch panel is cracked .............cracks in the vinyl dashboard ..........

Would love to see an under the hood shot.
