Thermo Vacuum Switch
On my car ( 83' 240D ) the thermo vacuum switch is not hook up ( two little horns ). Do I need to hook this up? Where shall I hook this up to?

If it's at the front of the engine near the valve cover gasket surface then it's probably the EGR thermo vacuum switch. Is there a vacuum line leading to your EGR valve?
If your car runs well, delete this post so there's no record of you ever being aware that your EGR system was disabled  Sixto 95 S420 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD
