SO I bought a gassee to add to the collection
Today I put a deposit on a '77 450 SLC. It is missing a tail light lens. Can I use the one off of my '79 240d, or is it time to start looking on ebay and such?
I pick her up tomorrow. What can I say... I couldn't pass up a $1000 car even if she isn't diesel.

Congrats. Thousand bucks for a car that was once the priciest of the MB fleet. Hope it's a runner (good luck cleaning the often murky sealed rear windows).
Can't help but notice the many recent posts from diesel defectors to gas-powered cars. What's the deal?

Wouldn't say I defected... just expanded. I had a '66 Mustang with a performance 289 before I started and I guess I need a speeder to drive once in a while.
