W123 factory alarms?

Hi,

Did the w123 cars come with factory alarms in any years? I ask this because there is a horn type speaker under my hood. There is also a wire attached to what looks like it used to ba an underhood sensor right near the latching hardware. There is a black and red wire going straight to the battery and then a few small wires that have been cut. No other signs of what would be an alarm, nor is there a keypad or valet switch in the compartment.

I think Id like to remove all this stuff, Im just worried that somewhere there might be a lockout (although I cant seem to figure where), so that when I remove the stuff, the car wont start or something.

The only thing I might keep is the noise horn... It might attach into the PA system in my CB radio... Wouldnt that be funny?
