I Looked At A 300D Today
Last night I went to a store close to where I work and there was a W123 300D Turbo in the lot with a for sale sign, $2900 OBO. 1985, 166K miles and metalic gold with Bunt wheels and a tan interior. I noted the number and went to work. I work the late shift.
I cruised on over this morning and looked at it. It was risty, had a serious ding in the front drivers door and rear front fender and had 196K miles. The wheels had been spray painted silver and there was residue on the tires. That was a bad sign too. I passed. Maybe if it said $1000 OBO, but not this time. Nice body style though.

Sounds like a good decision. In this situation I often offer what I think the car is worth and tell the owner that if he ever considers it to give me a call.

Why haven't you called me? I have what you are looking for. Check out my link:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?threadid=69968 The pictures on ebay didn't do the car justice, nor did my description. I was trying to be honest, but I think people read the description and thought it had a lot of problems. It doesn't, and in fact, its a really, really nice car. You should call me and have a look at it. GregS '84 300D, 175k '90 300CE, 165k |
