Water behind drivers seat.

I have a '82 300td and am having water accumulating in the floor behind the drivers seat. It has been dry here so I don't think I have any drains plugged except maybe the a/c drain. I can't seem to find where it is. Any help would be appreciated. I already searched but could not any info. Thanks alot.

Take off the passenger side kick panel. Reach waaaay up there above the transmission hump. Right on the centerline of the car, way up forward, you will find the remains of a foam hose about 3 or 4 inches long and about 2 inch diameter. It will be crumbled into powder. It's a cheap part from the dealer, or, some people just stuff a plastic funnel in there.

It runs from a plastic nipple on the evaporator duct to a hole above the transmission. Basically the water just runs out on top of the transmission. The symptom usually is water in the drivers side rear footwell. I don't know why it usually doesn't go to the passenger side, maybe it follows some wiring channel or something, or maybe it's because the car is loaded heavier on the left most of the time.
