How About These?

Found this tucked under the old carpet, any ideas? It has a rubber diaphram it presses with a hose coming off it. Windshield washer? the whitish ring looks like some fluid leaked out of it

MORE STUFF

And this thing, it's that knob at the lower right, pull it out and it lights up. let go and it springs back in, no way to lock it in the out position.

Looks like a W115 but you might mention what car it is.

greetings, you got it right. the first photo is, from my experience, the windshield washer pump-pedal. mine worked when I first got the car but then the diaphram (just underneath the pedal) broke. I ended up retrofitting the pedal to activate a switch which ran an electric washer fluid pump...worked out well. I think the second pic is of the rear window defroster switch.

The top photo is indeed the windshield washer 'pump'. On my 115, when I push it down to spray fluid, the windshield wipers also sweep back and forth once. Just thought you might want to know
