loud squeak on the left side front

Getting a loud squeak in the lt ft of 85 300d.
I thought I listened to it correctly & it was the upper control arm (NOT, I did both sides while at it). I press down on the lt fender and it is maddening. It also happens when I turn the steering wheel. While driving it feels like the car will just split down the middle. Has this happened to anyone? What was the fix? Thanks

I've got the squeak on my front right, but not when steering, only bouncing. I ordered a control arm for that side, but even if it isn't the source of the squeaking, that one does need to be replaced. my only idea to find the squeak would be spray silicone on different bushings then bouncing the car.

I've had it twice and it was the lower ball joint in both cases. Happened when pushing down on the car fender and when cornering and when hitting bumps at slow speeds.
