metallic clicking nose when taking foot away from accel. pedal

Occasionally, when I take my foot away quickly from accelerator pedal, I hear metallic clicking noise.
Is this normal?

I once drove a 12 year old 190E whose clicking noise is much louder than mine.
However, I also drove an automatic transmission car that does not produce such noise at all.
