Cool We're off in to the wild blue yonder! Thanks everyone!

Or perhaps I should call it the wild grey yonder, given the forest fires burning. Pretty scarey stuff. Kyle, is your brother okay? Personally, I think it's all a plot by the US government to end the soft wood lumber dispute. There just won't BE lumber left. (I'm not paranoid, but that doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.:p ) I think the situation is okay where we are headed, but getting there might be interesting. You never know which highway might be closed.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for helping to get Belinda ready for the trip. She's as ready as she is ever going to be. But I have a list of tow trucks along the way, jic! Just my luck we'll be rerouted through Washington though.:p Hey rickg, you available for tech support if that happens?? :p

I have been so focused on the process of getting ready for the trip, that I didn't really see the bigger picture until recently. It just dawned on me.... 10 days in a cabin with NO internet. Not only that, half of it spent in a cabin with my MOTHER. I've already got a twitch developing in one eye.

If I don't get admitted to a looney bin, I'll see ya in 10 days or so! Don't talk about me when I'm gone!

Have a good safe trip... With your mother ? Who thought that up?
Pidgeons are only dial up.. you only see them sitting on phone lines.. never on cables..... since cables are underground.
If you had planned ahead you really could have found a homing pidgeon racer that would have liked to have his birds taken off on a trip...

Ha ha! It's a family reunion... we HAD to invite her.:p

So, I'm busy packing (we leave after hubby gets off work). Have you seen that Ikea commercial where there is stuff piled about 10ft high on top of a Volkswagon beetle? That's us! We look like the Griswalds.

Dial up pigeons, soup cans... you guys are too funny.

Natalie is in the Pacific time zone.. and they leave after her husband gets home.... so I am figuring that 8 pm Central time is when we can start talking about Natalie...
Boy, 10 days is a lot time to talk.... we had better start a new thread so we can have control of deleting it wholesale 9 days from now...

Hey watch it Bucko! I haven't left yet! Have the decency to wait until I leave the room at least.

Wes Bender, that looks EXACTLY like the family reunion group gathering.

Hi Rick! Nice to be back!

The short answer to your question, is YES, Belinda got us there and back. But (of course) there is a long version I'll share with you another day . Some of the climbs were pretty tough. I think I saw your house from the top of one of them.:p

What have I missed around here?? No TV, no internet, and only CBC radio (artsy fartsy stuff). I'm a little out of touch....
