Good cleaner for pine sap?
My car cover finally gave up and I had to park under a spruce or pine tree and now have small dots of pitch all over the exterior.
It has been a long time since I needed a good cleaner and the last one I bought was not very good. Does anyone know of a good product for this cleanup? Thanks |

Depends on the type of sap, but apparently De-icer or screenwash additive works.

again, mayo , and a soft towel. as others have said the oil, even in wd-40 will dissolve the tar.

Rednecks - moi? - have been known to use cigarette lighter fluid, which is naptha. It will strip the wax off the paint at the same time, but it gets the crap off. Works on tar and asphalt gobs, too.

I had a car with old baked on tree sap that was as hard as epoxy. The only thing that removed it safely was Orange Blast concentrated cleaner.
