300d wont shut off
1984 300d,, wont shut off I have to use the manual shut off.

Probably a vacuum leak. Try blocking off the lines to the door locks and the climate control to isolate the leak.

300duser,
Remove the opposite end of the brown vacuum line, end not plugged into the stop device on the injection pump, and suck on it when engine is idling. If the engine stops, the problem is somewhere else in the vacuum system. If the engine does not stop when sucking, the vacuum stop device is defective. P E H |
I have had that problem a couple of times. I lubbed the joints of the linkages & my problem went away after some long drives. It's not always a vac problem.
