617 fuel pump pressure

Hi,

I need to know what is the fuel flowrate and pressure that the mian pump (not the IP) should deliver on a 617 engine. I assumeit is below 15psi, as there is a relief valve on the IP that opens at 15psi, I believe.

Would it hurt anything to have a 'booster' inline electric pump that is giving less than or equal pressure and equal or greater flowrate than the main pump? I ask this because I want to use a waste vegoil tank in my trunk, but send the fuel in through the main pump and into the IP without changing that, I just ant to provide a bit of help as vegoil is higher viscosity than diesel.

Any info would be great,

JMH
