Speedometer sending unit 84 300SD
 

Where is it? I know the 123 uses a mechanical setup on the tranny tailshaft, what does the 126 use?

jerrybro, last nite I removed the pick up from my tranny to test for funtion,I have a 83 300sd and the mag sensor is in the left hand side of the tail shaft held in with a 10mm bolt. I drew a screwdriver across it with the key on and my speedo responded, so I guess my problem is the gauge, any help? steve

Is the speedometer from an SD (electronic) swappable with a TD (Mechanical)? My TD had an 84 SD trans so I'm going by tach speed.
