Should I buy a 77 300D for 500 bucks?
The guy says the transmission is about to "go out"... I have no idea what that means. It's a little rusty. I don't know the mileage. But from the time's I've seen him driving, it appears it needs some attention. Which I am willing to tackle. If it is a total POS I can at least part it out or have fun running the piss out of it. What do you think?

$500 is a bit much for a toy to run the piss out of (If the other cars don't run over you trying to pass)
I would offer $300-375 (Mostly because the transmission is about to die). I could have bought very nice 76 300D for $300 at an auction but I didn't have the cash to go for it. |

Run the piss out of it for a benz is over a 5 year span! I have to decide if I even want to pursue it. I don't want to make the guy feel like I'm wasting his time looking at it or driving it and I haven't even decided if I even want buy at all... if that makes sense.
I could make the 500 back just parting it out on ebay or here. Ya know?
