Rubber Sources 300CD
 

Hi All,

I've got a newly acquired 83 300CD that I am going to keep until I die. I would like to replace all the side rubber and seals, door seals, window seals etc etc. The front and rear windows were done recently. Are there afternarket sources for these rubber pieces or is the dealr the best bet. Has anyone untaken this replacement task on their own? Is it ridiculously difficult?

Those rubber pieces are outrageously expensive! Try Phil at Partsshop but I'd say the dealer's your best bet.

Yes, they are really expensive. The only one that I've had done on my car is the driver side window seal because it had a air leak and was dry rotted, it alone was over $380 without labor to put it in; but you said that has been done recently. Sooner or later I'll have to do the passenger side too. We just had our mechanic in Georgia to order it from one of his suppliers in Atlanta, which they only had the driver side thankfully the one that we needed the most. I believe we had a price quote from the dealer and they were charging more but I can't recall the price.
