vaccum line? no start

Hi Guys simple question what color is the vaccum line that goes to the alda? was give a a car finished engine swap and foundthat car wont start but found some lines have been disconnected. just need a starting point to diagnois problem



Fixed nuetral switch so starter now turns. primed . recharging battery to try again in am

The line from the overboost protection switchover valve to the ALDA is an opaque white as is the line from the intake manifold to the overboost protection switchover valve. If you're talking about an MB Diesel, your starting problems have nothing to do with loose vacuum lines. MB Diesels only need vacuum to stop.

Since you just installed the engine, are you getting fuel to the injectors? Is IP timing correct? Got glow? Got compression? I assume it's cranking and not a problem.

Yes Ive got glow and fuel suspect timeimg now I may have made a major blunder when I put new engine in I put new head gasket on I just realized I have put a cam and towers from a 617950 engine on byn mistake! suspect that has retarded timeing what a goffup. Im going to post a new thread to ask the diff between cams.
