Digital thermometer - where to get one?

Has anyone bought a new thermometer (digital)? If so, where? I need to replace a busted thermometer in a SL500...Any input would be greatly appreciated...

Try EBAY, it's hard to NOT find what your looking for there.

are you talking about the outside temperature thermometer? the one that displays in the cluster below the speedo? if you are i was wondering if anyone has ever fixed one and knows where the sensor is because i hit a bump one day and it hasnt worked since.
thanks

On the 190's the sensor is just behind the front license plate.

As to the display. I have repaired an old one (new housing, new light bulb) -- easy stuff.

If it does not work, keep looking at ebay. I found one for $20.00 on ebay a couple of months ago for my 190. Works great.

What if you need to get one like - tommorrow? Where would you be able to purchase it?

Well,,,,
Mercedes dealership..... about $400.00
You should diagnose weather it's the guage at fault or the temp sensor. The sensor is only $50.00 from the dealer. ( you can get the correct resistance reading for your temp sensor to diagnose if you do a search on Mercedesshop.)...
On the other hand, if the digital readout screen, LCD, is blacked out or displaying chopped digits,,,, the guage needs to be changed. If the display is showing a blank, it could be the sensor or the display has bad ground connection. Either way I wouldn't pay dealer prices to fix it. You can troubleshoot it for less than a quarter of the cost they charge.
Why do you need it fixed by tomarrow??????
It's not that accurate/important.....
Good Luck!

The display is blank...The owner of the car is 93...When she wants something working - she's gotta have it! Even though she probably never knew the car had a thermometer.
