I love CXs. Almost got a gasser a couple of years ago. Color didn't work for me. Is this a Peugeot engine? Do these Diesels have any get up and go? Sixto 95 S420 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD |

Sixto,
Looks like lots of fun to work on the engine and where do you get parts? I'll stay with my MB Diesels. P E H |

There's a heralded Citroen shop close to the heralded Pacific Fuel Injection in SSF, CA... about 40 minutes from me.
Anyone into heraldry? What is heraldry? Sixto 95 S420 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD |

Sixto,
I think it has something to do with Angels. You know "Hark the Herald Angeles". P E H |

Saw a lot of those in France this summer. In fact, it is hard to find gassers over there. You begin to think that all vehicles have the rattle.
I think Citroen, Peugot and even Fiat share a lot of engines in Europe nowadays (at least in their trucks). It is cool to see those cars rise up when the engine starts. Parts could be shipped from the UK parts supplier (with a catalog in English) www.eurocarparts.com.

Citroen, ****roen, I dont get it. That boat achor needs to go to the crusher and recycled. I dont know if there is some sort of diehard Citroen circle out there. But if there is, my suggestion is to go get drunk and spend some quality time a strip club. I dont mean to be so crude, but the only way that car would fit is if were parked next to a Pacer or a Gremlin. If you want to talk about a bad car then let me mention my next project. Porsche 914, full body kit, 300 hp small block chevy conversion, 911 transaxle, 200 hp shot nitrous. Sorry, can't a see a diesel in this one, as much as I love them this car is strictly going to be a Honda killer. A 914 with 300 hp will run a 12 sec. qtr mile.

I found a 1982 220D with a 1989 Mustang 5.0 engine, auto transmission, and '69 Ford GT front end. Here in Tulsa, they ask $5,500. I wish I had the cash. That would really suprise the heck out of a stop light dragracer.
I have always liked Citroen. They are nice but so hard to find parts in the USA outside of the unusual junkyard find. Still, they cant stack up to MB. |

I actually like Hondas, some friends of mine are really into them. Usual things they pump them up and think that they are fast. They laugh at the 914 because of the VW engine in them, can't really blame them for that. But a small block 914 would be a pretty cool sleeper. Also, a 911 turbo transaxle can take up to 700hp, so if twelve seconds quarters get boring I can always up the power. But if you look at the whole picture this would be a tiny midengine car that handles like a go cart, but at the same thime will run a 12 second quarter mile. Thats just with 300hp, a 200 shot of nitrous is another world, probably about 10.5 or 11 seconds.
I do not mean to offend about the Citroen, maybe it is a cool find for the right person, just not me. |

If I were to have had the money, and time to drive halfway across the country, I woud have had that thing in my driveway in a heartbeat. Cumminsnut, it may or may not have been the best car on the market, but it IS rare, strange looking, AND diesel to boot! I love strange and unusual cars, and I think the Citroen definitely qualitifies in that regard.
The Porsche sounds like fun, but my driving characteristcs just wouldn't utilize it. |
