Thief who stole the "snail" went to jail

Appeared in court today against fellow who stole the Snail, 83 300SD while I had it loaned to little brother. Thief was up for violation of probation by stealing Snail while on probation for pot charge.

Little brother was badly hurt riding the hood while tryin to stop the thief ( bad judgment)

When asked what I was told upon middle of night phone call, I advised " Bad news bro., ---- stole the Snail" I explained to the judge that I named it the Snail because it was a slower diesel mercedes..

By the end of the hearing, everyone was calling it the Snail, even the public defender, while trying to cross examine me, asked " when was he Snail recovered?" " what evidence do you have that says my client stole the Snail?"and the sort.

Judge gave the guy 3 yrs state prison, little brother is somewhat better and it was as if the car had taken on human identity during the trial.

Steal the Snail, go to jail!

The Snail thief was 20 years old and he will serve 85 % of his sentence under the guidelines.

I love seeing justice served. 85% is a nice stint for State time, too bad they only pinched him for probation violation rather than car theft.

Not NEARLY enough time in jail. Especially for endangering the life of your bother in the process!

What a piece of $h!t. I hope he has a VERY miserable stay in jail.

Mike
