Driver's Seat Torn....try Sheepskins?
The driver's seat has a typical tear from normal usage on the middle left side. The vinyl is torn but I can see the white fabric backing. Does anyone have recommendations as to what to do other than living with it? I don't want the tear to get bigger.
Any pros and cons of having sheepskins? Thanks in advance. rodsob

I don't know where you live, but here in San Diego, you can go to an Ecology junk yard and buy a seat for $21.00 or a pair for $42.00. There is no shortage of W123 cars to choose from and several Ecology yards to choose from. Of course, a lot of the seats are toast, but the passenger seats are usually quite good. I am consistently amazed at the quality of MB interiors in 20+ year old cars in the yard. I often wonder why they are there since the body and interior seem decent. Must be the severe espense of fixing a broken motor!
Hopefully, you have a common color interior and can locate a seat or even a seat bottom at a decent price.

Since the left and right seatback frames are slightly different but the covers are the same, you could find a right side seat with a good seatcover and install it onto your left side seat back.
