You need to run CarFax or AutoCheck on something like this with the likely money involved.
Because: - All Floridians are crooks. - The leaders of the Florida crime organizations are in Miami. - All Used Car Dealers are crooks. - The State of Florida has crooked tax laws. - It looks like it has been repainted, its so good. [ You decide for yourself which points above are jokes and which are not ]  AutoCheck and EBay have a partnership - you can get 10 AutoCheck reports for $10 over a period of two months. It has to be a vehicle for sale on EBayMotors. I have used one of my ten so far, and AutoCheck is essentially the same as CarFax. I'll bet they use the same data sources if not the same database. You need to spend $10 before you lay out 5-10 grand. Ken300D

The Carfax report was posted right on the site.
The results are as follows: 6/91: Maryland title with 70K on the clock 5/97: Florida title with 97 K on the clock 9/98: Florida title with 99K on the clock 1/01: Florida title with 118K on the clock. So, if they clocked it, it occurred between 1991 and 1997. They could have easily done it in that time frame, but probably not subsequent to that. Brian Carlton 1984 300SD

That's the car that was just for sale at Ft Lauderdale mercedes. It was a repaint and had cheap looking sheepskins and the salesman told me the air was screwed up.
It must have just sold yesterday, they had no bids when they E Bayed the car.

Isn't that fraud?Knowingly selling a vehicle with unknown mileage and not stating it in the auction. I just emailed the seller, pretty much told him off, then I emailed eBay and told them of this mileage ordeal. They will be looking into it immediately, but I don't think I ever get the report back other than if he closes the auction early.

Here are some of the negative feedback on the seller:
Delayed title, $984+ in repairs; Fast talk, hid behind lawyer, Waste of time & $ They lied and said my Cherokee had 4 WD. It was 2WD. I'm stuck with it! Ripoff WATCH OUT buyers!!! Ads very deceiving. I'll NEVER buy from them again!!!! Car was damaged and poorly repaired. Not in outstanding condition as described. Inspected - near wreck - lots of bondo-parts wired on- poor repaint-not in ad BUYER BEWARE! FALSE ADVERTISING - EMAIL ME FOR DETAILS BEFORE YOU BID Misrepresented The Cond Of P/U And More - Before U Buy vwdiesel@earthlink.net Car in poor cond.. Comp. check rev., car has dead cylinder. $1800 valve job need There are two sides and then the truth. But this is enough for me to keep looking somewhere else.
