Does anybody have one of these?

...the thin-walled 30mm socket needed for removing the transmission output flange retaining nut. Lance needs my old 722 tailpiece and this tool, or the lack thereof, is the only thing keeping it from him.

Will you loan it out?

Do you have one of those NUTS in a mobile enough form that it can be transported within Area 51 ?
Who is Lance ?
Have you consulted anyone at the Black Hanger for Alien Help before posting here ?
Email or call me.....as early as possible

Who am I?

leathermang, I'm Lance. Since my trans. is from an SD with the electronic sender, Randy offered me one from his spare with the mechanical sender.

Cool Lance, I talked to Randy , he is checking Harbor Freight when they open at noon today...
If they don't have it we may split his regular socket on the lathe and splice it with some tubing to make it long enough...

No joy at Harbor Fright...or NAPA, or Lowe's. Crap! What a PITA....this is beginning to get personal.

The last two decent auto parts houses (not those brainless frigging mega-stores that stock ninteen different kinds of NOS stickers, flame decals and 2lb coffee can sized chrome exhaust tips but don't have the points and condenser for a '72 Buick) left in Waterloo aren't open after 12 on Saturday. I'll give them a shot at lunch tomorrow.

Cross your fingers.

Just make sure that when you join the pieces, they will hold under the force of an impact wrench. It will take an impact wrench to bust the yoke nut loose, they are staked in place. I wrestled with mine for nearly an hour before biting the bullet and putting air to it. Once I went to air it only took a couple seconds to loosen. Be sure to restake the nut once you exchange the tailshaft housing and install the yoke.
