Well, I was reading in Eurpean Car (Jan '04) last light and saw on page 20 that VW will soon be supplying diesels for DaimlerChrysler. These engines will be going to Mitsubishi as well. Talk about decreasing product quality!! Is nothing sacred?

I also do not believe the performance figures for the Jaguar Diesel. Too big of a car , too small of an engine.
Unless I see those figures listed as such in an independent test, I never will believe them. I also might believe if the numbers were metric. P E H |

These posts about the Smart strike me hard. My dream is to own one of these someday... I just have this thing for small, effecient city cars. I hope they bring them to the US, given my career working out, I will be purchasing one.

AFAIK the Smart is about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the A class. I saw an A class at the NAIAS in Detroit last year and about died... I am a huge A class nut as well.
