exhaust leak at turbo

i have a minor leak where my turbo and exhaust bolt together.
this a 83 300tdt. it whistles at 55 to 80 or so.
is this something i need to fix now or can it wait? i dont notice any power loss only the noise.

Other than noise I can't imagine it being of much if any importance. The copper nuts can sometimes be a pain to get to and you may end up rounding off a little more than you'd like since it is soft copper so it is a good idea to have new nuts waiting when you do this.

Whistles? That sounds more like the seal from the turbo to the intake manifold as the car is under slight boost in that range. Do you actually see the carbon build up on the turbo or header pipe? If not perhaps you could get a 1:1 mix of soap and water and pour it over that seal on the intake manifold and rev it a little in park or take it for a short drive and look for bubbles.
