bumper pad

83 300dt. noticed after shopping yesterday that someone must have 'cut too close' to my car and ended up moving the front bumper pad from the drivers side to the passenger side. sticks out on the passenger side about 10". the drivers side holds the pad with some type of rubber insert bolted to the bumper. the passenger side is attached with clips directly to the bumper. how best to re-install the bumper pad. oh, i guess i lucked out. the pad repositioning is the only thing amiss. no dents or scratches. thank you.

If it is all of the way on I've just taken a rubber hammer & a piece of wood and stuck it in where that license plate groove is on front and slid it over like that. If you have to put it back on I normally try to slide one side on the bumper mounts and then end up beating the other side on little by little with the rubber hammer.
