Good Indy shop in around Charlote area,

Do any members know a good indy shop specializing in 126 diesels, or generally just older mercedes in the Charlotte N.C. area? Looking to get a car checked over.

Try PAS near the stadium (Palmer Dr I think). Mike is the owner / manager and Kurt is the major wrench turner. They have worked on my SDL many times. Kurt is Bosch certified. The shop is also certified for Lotus, Ferrari, Porsche and many others. I've seen 600 SEL's in there. Don't be detered by the looks of the place - it is not a fancy place, but very good mechanics and fair prices.

I live about 25 miles North of Charlotte, looking at something in the area?

I have been out to Goose Creek Automotive. You should find them in the yellow pages. They are out a while on Independence SE of downtown. Took me about 20 min or so from near Cycle Sorcery and the Mercedes dealership on Independence. Used to have a card but I have misplaced it. Seems to be family owned and operated and they usually have a handful of nice used cars out front of the shop. It is a renovated gas station and they use the bays for repair. Did a little research and the owner used to be a mechanic for a Mercedes dealership in town.(I think the one on Independence.) They were really nice and professional folks. Give them a call.

Goose Creek ( no experience with them) will be much closer to the car you are looking at than PAS. Good idea.

I called PAS today, i will look up goose creek tuesday. Found a friend in tega cay willing to go get the car and rive it for a PPI. He won't be able to do it till next week so, we'll see.
