Map/Door light
The bulb in my map/door light behind the mirror of my w124 300D blinked out. I don't see any screws or obvious means by which to remove the lense cover. Does anyone know how to safely pry off the face so that I can swap out the bulb?
Thanks in advance for the help. - Dana

If I remember, the 124 is very similar (if not identical) to the 123's in the glove box. The whole lens/light assy "should" pry out (from the outside edge closest to you), then you can replace the bulb.
Be VERY careful, most of the plastic in the 123 and 124's is getting brittle.

Tom, thanks for your speedy reply. I'll be careful with the plastic. I recently went to toggle my night mirror and the plastic was so brittle the assembly exploded in my hand, lol.

BTW, there's a 124 300D that's still REALLY intact at a junkyard I frequent (mostly look for 123 parts, but the 124 has "some" parts that interchange), I'll look for the mirror next time I'm out.
