Did you check the bulb socket?
The sockets on my old 240 are very touchy when fitting a bulb and I actually had to add some additional material (tin foil) around the exterior of the bulb to make it fit snug.
Could be the bulb holder is just getting a little corroded. Try cleaning it with some emory cloth perhaps.

I have a right front marker that's intermittent on my 92 330D. The dash indicater comes on, I ignore it for awhile, it goes out. Someday I'll check the bulb/socket contacts. If it was more than one bulb acting up it would be a pain to track down.

Hi Bernie.
I don't know if it is the same system as is used in the w123 but on my 83 TDT the bulbs where loose. I solved it by bending the metal tabs out more so there is more tension on the bulb. Also make sure you use Euro spec bulbs. Hope this helps. Louis. |

Brake light went out, dash indicator didn't come on... does that mean the bulb that's suppost to warn of dead bulbs is dead?
