My 1983 300SD Turbo Diesel is about to pass 150,000 miles. I feel I should give it a good fluid change - oil, tranny fluid, rear diff, etc... I'm partial to Mobil1, but this is a diesel, and i'm not sure about what makes this transmission happy - any suggestions?

Use the regular Dextron fluid in the tranny and some gear lube in the diff.

What a coincidence, I just drained the trans and converter on my 300SD today. I had Mobil 1 trans fluid in since I put in a rebuilt trans 25,000 miles ago. The pan was perfectly clean so I know no wear has taken place or the particles would be in the bottem of the pan. What am I going to refil the trans with, why Mobil 1 trans fluid ,of course. Next time I think I will leave the oil in the trans 50,000 miles.
I have Mobil 1 in the engine too.
