funny vibrating sound
guys,
the car is making a funny sound. i have isolated it to the area around the air filter housing. when i increase the engine revs the sound goes away. it is a metal to metal sound. very tinny. i am confident it is nothing major. it is just annoying to hear it when it idles. any 240/300 experts out there who can help me isolate what is loose? thanks. J. Taylor

it could be that one of the rubber bushings have broken off of the air cleaner bracket,and the air cleaner is just resting on the metal part of the bracket,causing it to rattle...
if yours is anything like mine, you should be able to lift up the air cleaner deal just a little bit,and see 3 rubber bushings on a bracket for the air cleaner to sit on
