Check Out 300TD in Wichita?
We`re interested in a `81 300TD wagon in Wichita, which is over 1000 miles to our west. I`m wondering if anyone close by would be willing to check this vehicle out for me, I`d be glad to pay you for your time. Thanks for your consideration.

Anybody out there in the Wichita area willing to assist me in becoming a fellow MB diesel owner?

There is a possibility that I will be driving thru Wichita on a trip from Denver to Knoxville. But it will not be until 12/22 and I don't know what time of day it will be. It is possible I could stop and take a look if it's relatively close to my route. PM me if this date is not too late.

Thanks Kerry, that would be great if it is still there or if someone else hasn`t already volunteered. I`ll keep in touch regarding the status and I very much appreciate your kind offer of assistance.

jlwggns,
Nice to hear from you. 150 miles away is still quite a travel. Might you have any other reasons to head to Wichita? What is it that you could offer in the way of checking this car out for me? I`m all ears. Thanks so much for responding. |

300TD in Wichita
well they sell beer there to i guess. lol
actually at this time i'm off work on a factory injury. don't have a lot to do right now so a couple hours up and back isn't much if i can help out. i have yahoo messenger up most the time and usally invisible so give me a holler and see what info you would like me to find out. i'm jlwggns on yahoo. for any who happen to read, went out and fired up the 76 300d this morning. we had a lot of snow last night and was about 28 degree's this morning not plugged in fired up in about 6 tries. i love it! btw i saw a wagon in okc several months ago, no idea if it's still there or year model it was at a salvage yard. it wasn't in the best shape but never can tell what parts may be availble if it's still there. same place i got a few parts for the 76. pulled a master cylinder off a 76 240 i think it was for $20 and it worked. the parts place wanted $166 new or rebuilt can't remember now. give me a holler, i'm not a mechanic but have worked in the oilfield most my life and do all my own work i can.
