Just telling you that you risk carboning up the engine if you don't drive it hard enough.....

LOL.... i know New Hampshire - its the state that used to have "Live Free or Die" on its license plates..... Gotta ask yerself if that hotrod 300D would be going 100+ if you he didnt see you doing 80 in the middle lane first.

At those speeds you're absolute cop meat.

On I95, people are absolutely crazy. I''ve actually seen, regular highway traffic moving at speeds of 90-95 mph. Depends on the time of day, I guess. Not to mention all the darting in and out locking up their brakes with no warning.

Really like a whole highway full of drunks when you get closer to Boston.

It must be so funny when people see an old 300D turbodiesel passing them at post triple digit speeds.:D Nobody really knows my diesels are diesels because they only see "turbo" instead of "turbodiesel" when I pass them at 100 +.:( For all they know, they probably think mine is a turbocharged M103!:o

hehe you have that right .. i was being regularly passed by a lot of traffic as i was in the middle 'granny' lane doing 80:rolleyes:

I95 is nuts all the way down to fla.
this is a pic earlier this year in NC as i'm being passed by a house
doing at least 90..

I've had my share of high speed runs in the 300CD ;)

The traffic was really fast and this 740iL decided that the left lane was only for his oversized BMW and its 4.4L V8. He came up really fast behind me, and I was already going 85mph. He tried to overtake on the middle lane .. (bad move.. there was a truck right there). He was furious moved over and followed me. I just kept it and the 300CD was going 105mph...

The 7-dude backed off (his wife probably got scared)... what's up with these BMW drivers anyway...I've met too many racer wannabes in their BMWs...

on an unfortunate incident, I was just cruising, saw a BMW 528i cut in and out of traffic on I-495. A few miles later I saw him on the grass with the hood open... oh well..

BTW, when is the next NE Meet??

One up!

You should all have the experience of driving on the New Jersey TurnPike or the GSP. That's where you can log some real Dog-Fighter time!!!

With the exception of the NY Taconic State Parkway. The NY TSP: IS ABSOLUTLEY SCARY!!!

(If you’ve been there, you know what I mean).

Wow, and I thought Kalifornia was bad. You guys would lose you mind up in Oregon or Washington. People actually practice lane discipline and respect following distances up there.

Are you sure you're talking about the same Oregon or Washington I'm in? I think alot of those krazy Kalifornians are up here as well.

Is the underground cross country race still going on ? How about an underground MB diesel only cross country race! I drove an old grain truck to Alaska from MI we took route US 2 the "old road from Saulte St Marie MI to Evert WA" it's two lane and goes through towns, some great straight strecths in Montana very light traffic and I don't think we saw a hiway cop on 2 the whole trip.......

There used to be an underground motorcycle race from some where on the west coast of Canada to somewhere in mexico a friend that owned a Volvo dealership in Vancouver BC used to run in it, that would have been in the late seventies..........
