Wiper Blades

I went to my local McParts to try to get the wiper blade refills. Alas, they don't sell them anymore. You have to buy the whole arm now. Bosch, Anco, or whatever.

sounds like another consumer shakedown.

Keep looking, bosch refills are out there. While I don't think they are the same as the MB OE part Autozone sells bosch refills.

I went to Kragen the other day and couldn't find refills either. So I bought whole blades, the "Exact Fit" model by Tricoli. Wiper blades are one of those things where I don't care if they're OEM or not. These work great.

Trico Exact fit

I just bought a set of refills, slipped right into my wiper arms for a whopping $4.77 for a set. Around here with the sun and road sand they don't last long so cheap works great. New pair each fall and mid-summer gets me through.

Pair of pliers and 5 minutes... The plastic edged refill blades won't fit intothe grooves in the wiper arms. if you don't have the type of arm that takes the little clipo tp lock it in it is no problem. Just remove the clip and insert the refill blade. it is held in place byt eh ends on the wiper arm itself.

I noticed my usual McParts places no longer carry the Bosch refils either, this really, really, pisses me off. I bought another set of complete wipers for the 300D, think I will atempt to order some refils when the time comes. I've tried all the other commonly available brands and nothing touches Bosch, either flavor.

Yes the bosch micro edge is supposed to be a great one, after all bosch wipers came factory on our MBs.
